Things to Do When You are in Dubai

No matter for how many days are you planning the trip, make sure you put all these in your bucket. Dubai is beyond the stereotypical image of skyscrapers and just sand dunes.

1)    Dubai is a land of superlatives, everything being extravagant in it. Be it malls, buildings, hotels, deserts, lifestyle etc. everything is larger than life. And so is Burj Khalifa, hold onto your head and take a few seconds to visit this unfathomable beauty. You can also take pictures, you know for the record.

2)    After you have seen the extravagant side of Dubai, there is no comparison of the subtle contrast of Abra ride along the Dubai creek. Get onto one of these beautiful boat rides and enjoy the ride surfing through the sweet prayers of the mosques along. And on the side fill your senses with the aroma of the spices laid in the souk.

3)    Check out The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, and if there are any confusions or questions you have always had about Islam, this is where you will find all the answers to it. This place promises a greater cross-cultural experience for all. Chances are you might be surprised over the complete new understanding that you will gain of the Islamic culture.

4)    Go to the parks, yes definitely parks aren’t the thing that hit your head first when we talk about Dubai but you’ll be surprised to see the beauty once you go. Dubai flaunts some beautiful plush green, tranquil, clean parks, where you will find people and children from every culture playing along. It can be a great place for a mini picnic.

5)    If you are a massive curry fan, one visit to Ravi is mandatory. This place deserves a hype of its own. This place is topped with people from all around the world at all given time. You won’t find the sophisticated white cloth tables here, but some amazing Pakistani curry served by some warm and friendly staff.

6)    Go see The Burj Al Arab once, not for its posh outlook but for the serenity that tags along with it. This place can be seen from anywhere you like but the best view to grab of the billowing sail is from the beach next to it.

7)    Do not miss on the ski Dubai, it’ll be an altogether a new experience and you can also enjoy the bar halfway up the slope for a beautiful hot chocolate.

8)    Make sure if you are in Dubai, you haven’t missed onto the safari in the desert. Do your booking right and enjoy the dazzling sun setting between the golden sand dunes, for a view that cannot be captured in any camera.

9)    The fountains, it is free, it is exciting and most of all it is spectacular. And if you feel you have seen it all, go for the Dubai light show in the evening, they do it bigger, louder, taller and with some incredible lighting.

10)    If you do or do not have kids along with you, definitely go for the underwater zoo and aquarium. The experience is going to leave you bedazzled. You will be able to see fascinating desert animals in the zoo and come cross salt water crocodiles in the underwater aquarium. Don’t miss it for anything.

It doesn’t matter who you are traveling with if it is a solo trip if it is a family trip or a trip with someone special. It is mandatory to do all these things to have a fuller experience of this city. So go ahead and visit the most talked about travel destination and make a trip to remember.
